With all the joinery and shaping completed, the arms are fixed in place by boring through the legs before gluing and screwing them in place. Then the last detail to add is the corbels, which sit under the front of the arms. Then, with the holes in the back of the arms plugged, the chair is ready for it’s upholstered seat.
Paul, I noticed that your chair is with the seat supports already installed. Will this be shown in a future episode?
Luiz I also notice that. I hope it will be included the the seat video.
Hello Luiz, it will indeed be. Thanks
Thank you Paul. It seems so obvious after you’ve shown us, but I’ve always thought of cutting plugs along the grain like one would cut and hammer out a dowel. You’re tutorial helped me to realize that matching the grain and colour requires a crosscut plug and not a dowel. Thank you.
Thank you, Mr. Sellers! A very Happy Christmas and many Blessings to you and your family. From Puerto Rico, La Isla del Encanto, The Isle of Enchantment… ¡Felicidades y Bendicones!

Merry Christmas to you and yours Paul. Thank-you for all the inspiration 🙂
Clifford and Luis ,Paul showed how to install the seat cleats in the dining chair videos basically cut a 45 then get it into the corner tight ,mark the rear
And cut it, then drill a diagonal hole just missing the angle and install a screw on either side
Thanks Dean – I will check it out.
Thank you for the lesson.
