I see this as a great learning project for my High School students next year in my Intro to Craftsmanship class. They would love to take these home and show them off. Also, they would love to add or subtract to the design in ways that would make them feel as if they were their own design!
Perfect!
Thanks Paul and Team
Justin
Thank you. I do enjoy these smaller projects and my entire family has a constant demand for bookends!
John
Thanks Paul am looking forward to this project as my work shop is only 10 x8 shed, but big enough for me many thanks p,s hope you and the team had a great new year
Good idea for a smaller project for winter, for those who have no heated workshop so have to work indoors.
Great project idea. Also I agree with others that this is a great one to do indoors rather than out in my cold detached shop. I sometimes forget I can do that for wintertime. Looking forward to it.
Looking forward to this series. I could use some book ends at my office.
I too will have a go at this.
However I am waiting for cooler weather as it is over 40 deg Centigrade in my shed at moment.
Adelaide, South Australia.
I’ll split the difference with you. It’s about -30 C here. 🙂
ahhh! i was expecting the shaker dresser and i am all geared up for .nonetheless this will be another fantastic lesson
Bigger, Bigger lol
Nice design, robust and fit for the purpose! I consider making out of plywood, but that will give some issues related to the housing dado’s. I will consider that
I love these smaller projects. I’m new to woodworking so it will be some time before I can tackle rocking chairs or dressers. I’m very thankful that you’re working in projects for those of us early on the learning curve.
If you haven’t watched this episode yet be forewarned that while the series is listed as a “free project”, only episode one is free and the subsequent episodes are on the paid thread.
This is only true of this particular project as far as I can see so if you haven’t joined the full site yet understand your only gone to be able to watch the 1st episode.
Hi Jim,
We are releasing this as a free project week by week so Episode 2 will be released as a free episode on Friday and episode 3 and 4 will be released in the following 2 weeks.
Kind Regards,
Izzy
