Carved Mirror Frame: Episode 5

The angled cuts on the top of the frame are cut and planed evenly, being careful to avoid tearing out the grain. Then the peak can then put in place and the mitre fitted, making sure the peak is in the correct place, before being drilled and screwed. Paul then cuts and fits some plugs to complete the peak.
Great outcome, even greater proces!
this has been a fantastic project thanks so much for your continued support.
Great project I really enjoyed it and this will be on my to do list.

Nice project with many new aspects. Thanks to the team.
Just a quick advisory note: if you want to have beveled glass on your mirror, make sure your supplier can cut the bevel on 4mm glass. My supplier could only cut 10mm bevels onto 6mm glass. This will require the rebate to be made deeper – which is a lot easier to do at the outset rather than after glue-up!
Thank you for the lesson.
Terrific intro to decorative carving. Thanks!
