In this episode Paul shows the layout processes and the only joint used in this project, the housing-dado. He also shows how to glue-up the front stiles for the shelf.
In this episode Paul shows cutting and fitting the top and bottom of the shelf. This is a critical step and, if done correctly, helps to ensure the entire project is square and true.
Now the side pieces are done, it’s time to plough and fit the loose tongue and groove. Once this is done, Paul does the fitting on the shelves and side panels, ready for the back panel.
It’s time to glue up the main frame. Once that is done the crown and bottom trim are mitred and fitted. The crown is shaped and then the trim and crown are fitted and glued using battens.
In this final episode Paul makes and fits a middle shelf and shows one way to fix it. He then applies a dye to the project to even out the colour and we have another project finished.
