I grew up in the largest Amish/Mennonite community in the world. My whole life I seem how people flocked there to purchase handmade wood products and pay a nice price for them. In reality, they where not handtool made like the people thought. Most of the Amish shops had power tool (mostly air driven) that would make any power tools user drool. It is all in the way you market your product. There is a segment of the population that will pay for handcrafted/old world produce. You just have to market it right.
I have thought about going back and setting up a shop and making things in the window as people walk by. Handtools only of course.
