Cutting yourself is too sharp.
round the edges on the flat side slightly. Keep in mind that as you sharpen, the very end that forms the edge should not be rounded, and as you sharpen and flatten you will fighting gettin sharp on the corners, so go easy,
Round the edges on the bevel side at much as you like.
