I use the 8×3″ EZE-lap stones; course, fine and extra fine. Haven’t tried the DMT ones so can’t comment on them but the EZE-lap ones seem great so far. I made a holder from a scrap piece of oak much like the one Paul uses.

I bought mine from a store on eBay.co.uk. All three together came to just under £150, which was the cheapest I could find in the UK. Didn’t think to look at US pricing but wish I had now!
