Hi all!
Just picked some up, too. In case you are in BC you should check out the sale at Summit Tools this month! Even cheaper than HF…
BTW: I was wondering why the plywood pieces Paul uses are actually smaller than the clamps’ surface!? In theory this will increase the pressure on the smaller area causing a higher likelihood of denting / marking your workpiece. Wouldn’t it be better to have the plywood slightly larger than the clamp (except the gap at the bottom – thanks David Gill I would have definitely run into exact this scenario…) so that the pressure is more evenly distributed and even decreases slightly at those areas “hanging over” the aluminum?
Any thoughts on this? I am going to upgrade the clamps probably on the weekend…

Yeah I tried just peeling one off but it’s on there pretty good. You can’t get the whole thing off.
I just bought some stuff called “Goof Off” that’s supposed to be able to remove adhesive residue. I’m hoping it’ll remove the entire sticker.
Back in the day, we used to use an product made by Avon called “Skin So Soft.” It’s an oily liquid for rubbing on your skin. That stuff works really well but, it leaves a real slick, oily film that’s difficult to get off. It eventually wears off and, it doesn’t hurt anything. It’s just annoying.
I haven’t tried the Goof Off stuff yet so, I don’t know how or, if it really works.
