Dear All,
my wife wants me to construct a bookshelf. (see attached picture). Two vertical desks running from the ground to the ceiling. In between the desks the horizontal dividers. Total height like 2.6m, width like 2metres.
Now the questions:
– the ceiling is made of not really concrete, but some softer material. What is the best way to mount the two vertical desks between ground and ceiling?
– how to realise connection between vertical and horizontal structures? I understood that classically one makes half-U-slot in both pieces and assembles them together. I have a problem with that, because any tiny discrepancy in the cutting and it will be visible in the front face of the library. As well such joint does not create a ‘perturbance-free’ front face. So is there any other kind of joint I could use on this?
The entire construction must not be glued as when i move once, i’d like to dismantle it without breaking
many thanks for any hint
