They’re back! (at least in the USA Aldi stores.)
I just picked up next week’s sale flyer at my local Aldi store and there they are on the back page, still priced at $6.99 for a set of four along with a very useful set of six files also at $6.99 for the set, among other goodies. They are supposed to go on sale on Sunday but they could appear earlier. These special buys usually run for a week or until stock runs out.
For those who are new here, these Workzone brand chisels are (or at least were) thoroughly decent Chinese made tools with hardwood German style handles. Paul has used them extensively in his school and has spoken well of them. I’ve been using a set for the last two years and am happy with mine. If you don’t already have a good set of chisels I suggest that you cash in your beer bottles and grab some while you can.

I’m willing to bet that when I stop by Aldi on the way home that there will be none in stock. But I’ll let you all know just in case…
I’d love a set of wood-handled chisels. The Marples I have are all that yellow plastic resin, which is fine and good, but I kind of dig the wood.
5 September 2017 at 9:33 pm #315569Is this the same Aldi store which in my area are discount grocery stores with limited selections?
