has anyone used these ,are they as good as their chisels1 April 2016 at 9:57 am #136122Hi Eddy
I called in Aldi yesterday and bought a set of the screwdrivers. I have only had a quick look at them they seem ok. They look heavy duty they have metal caps on the handles could be hit with a hammer and there is a hexagon fitting between handle and shaft for using a spanner for extra torque
All tips of the blades are magnetic for holding the screws
The wooden handles have a shiny lacquer finish that I am not sure about may remove and oil?4 April 2016 at 7:53 pm #136144Hi Eddy
I found that the hexagon ends of the handles were uncomfortable on the palm of my hand so I rounded them off see attached photo. I did remove all of the original varnish off one of the handles applied Danish oil and wax, it felt better but decided not to do all of the rest. I have just oiled the rounded off ends.Attachments:

I saw these at the weekend but for some reason never picked them up. By the way, their paint brushes are really good value too. The handles are comfy and bristle drop is minimal and better than any of the own brand/value priced type of brushes I have bought from the big DIY outlets.

22 April 2016 at 7:26 pm #136610I have used the screw drivers a few times now and think that they are well made and worth the money.
I would recommend that if you do purchase a set you chamfer the top of the handles as outlined in my previous e-mail -
