I just saw this desk from Tony Selmershei and Charles Plumet.i’m awestruck. How would one build a beauty like this?

You could buy it for $147k and reverse engineer it! 1stdibs.com is selling it. It is absolutely graceful and timeless considering its 117 years old. I would love to know who the craftsman (men) were that made this. As I understand, Charles and Tony created the design only. Would be interested to know who commissioned it and what their cost was.

Yes I saw the price as well, ‘slightly’ above budget for my next desk… It’s made out of sculpted pearwood and bronze. No makers name is mentioned just the designers.

    Wow! what a beautiful piece.

I know they say practice makes perfect, but I’m also a firm believer that in all walks of life, there are people who are simply just gifted human beings able to create such mastery and beauty in their chosen field. Whilst the rest of us mere mortals can only look on in awe.
