Should I be concerned about this crack in the middle of an apron board? It doesn’t go the whole way through
I wouldn’t be. Inlay some bow ties across it and it should be fine.
oh, man, bowties? i dont want to be mistaken for one of the local, hipster, live edge cheese plate woodworkers haha
Suspect those bowties are also known as butterfly joints.
Cyano-acrylate glue (perhaps the thin version), possibly mixed with some saw dust, should have a fair chance of closing the defect.
