how do i make a small half moon circle at the bottom of the aprons with hand tools?
what is the easiest way to do this? a video tip if possible would be nice. but if not
anything will help.
Paul shows how to do that in many of the projects- Aprons on tables and chair rails are examples. See Episode 3 in the Bench Stool project, for example. The basic approach is to make vertical stop cuts with a saw, remove the waste with a chisel (bevel down) taking care to watch the grain, and then clean up with a spokeshave and/or scraper. If you don’t have a spokeshave, you could probably clean up with a rasp, file, and sandpaper or rasp and card scraper.
