Hi
The Stanley no 4 1/2 I have just got off E-bay is in pretty good condition with the exception of rusty blistered chrome on the lever cap , does anybody know what is the best method of restoring the finish
Thanks
I would just polish it out (Autosol) and use it as is. Unless you fancy getting it rechromed, which would probably cost you about as much as a new plane. 🙂
Hi Ian
Thanks for that there is a post on the internet that says rub it with tin foil , not tried it yet don’t see how it would work
