Just finished up this ripsaw. Saw plate, nuts/medallion, and handle template are from TGIAG here in the US. Saw plate came with the teeth cut and holes for the handle so all I had to do was build the handle and set/sharpen the teeth. Fun build and learned a lot shaping the handle. Saw cuts fast and straight too. I will be putting it to use this Labor Day weekend!

Great job Brian, it looks classic
Are you planning some serious ripping
Thanks guys! I have some smaller vintage panel saws filed rip but they struggle with thicker woods and when breaking down rough lumber. So this should work well for that. The handle is based on a Wheeler-Madden and Clemson thumb hole rip pattern.
Going to start my next project this weekend so lots of lumber to break down!
Lovely looking saw. Great job on shaping the tote! Aside from the thumb hole (a nice touch!), it has a very old, English look about it.
What’s the tooth configuration? How many PPI and what’s the rake angle?
George.
