Thanks to a recent windstorm I managed to get some butternut boards about 50 Cm wide. I plan on using these wide boards as doors for a corner cabinet. I would like to carve these doors. Lets encourage Paul to make some videos on panel carving.
I need to let these boards dry for two years so I have plenty of time to learn carving techniques.

For carving techniques, you may want to visit MaryMay.com. She has great carving instructions and a forum with knowledgeable folks who will help you along the way.

Paul did a basic carving video of a rosette last year. It was pretty fun and informative (and inspired me to purchase two gouges), but certainly very basic as well. It sounds like Smoky Rick’s source may be a better resource for something a bit more advanced like you’re thinking.
