    Here’s a spoon that would make any hobbit happy. I just carved it from a sycamore tree branch that fell behind the house. Avoiding a knot in the middle of the wood led to the decision to curve the handle around it and shape the end piece. It actually fits nicely in the hand when held from the end.

    Also my cane version. Maple handle and oak staff. Haven’t chosen a finish yet and will put a brass tip on the bottom to complete it.

    It’s that time of the year to knock out those presents for the holidays.
