I am in the process of building a humidor base on the keepsake box and with an internal box (a box in the box, made of Spanish Cedar 1/4 inch thick. The inside box I was thinking just layering it to provide good humidity absorpio and provide a suitable environment for the cigar. I know commercial cigar boxes are made of plywood therefore are inherently stable. That’s why I am doubtfull if real solid wood will serve the purpose.

I am going to paint the outside box with shellac and the inside box I will leave it natural.

Any comment/recommendations will be highly appreciated.
