Marked out my Bridle joints.
I’m bit annoyed with self I fort myself and marked with a knife across face of one of the pieces. It will take a bit of work to get that out. 🙁
Oh well cutting joints to commence.Attachments:

Hit a problem my tenon saw was not big enough to go down the cheeks to shoulder line. So I had to use a panel saw to tell you the truth I’m quite happy using panel saw probably more so than a tenon saw. Used a hand router a 1″ and 1/4″ bevel chisel and 3/8″ mortice chisel. Bridle joint quit trick to make it fit.
I do not know when I can do some more work on this project. I am working away for a few days.
Wish I did not have to work then I spend all my time in shed.Attachments:

20 August 2013 at 9:19 pm #16823Once joint cut I put marks in the joint for reference.
Also used Masking tape to stop router marking wood. 😉21 August 2013 at 2:08 am #16833Looks nice. I have a couple boards of apple that I bought from a fantastic lumber supplier that I discovered just in time for the going out of business sale 🙁
Beautiful wood, I’ve made a couple plane totes from it.
25 August 2013 at 9:16 pm #17033Done a bit more today for a few hours.
Joints a little gappy. 🙁
I think when you have to mark either side of a piece you should put piece right over your mark on one side then mark with knife the other. At least if a bit tight you can take off a shaving or two. Shame I have marked all bridle joints out. Oh well Live and learn.Attachments:

27 August 2013 at 10:45 pm #17151Thanks Guys,
I think I have about a day to finishing all the joints.
I have a few ideas for shaping of legs and cross rail which will be a couple of days work at least.
I then have to plan all my boards for top and glue up. Figure out what I am going to do with edge of top. Also thinking some sort of inlay in top.
I do not get a lot of time so we are talking a few weeks.
Wish I never had to work 🙁 -
