It looks great Brian. I hope your house sells soon so you can give the table a new home soon.
Well all sanded and shellac finish, trouble is my house sold and I have to be out end of this month, I have to start packing shop!!
Have drawer fronts to size, am going to get them done in next couple days, as the weekend means everything will be getting boxed. I don’t want to rush it, and make mistakes. If I cannot get them done I will just pack table and have to start in a few months after we find somewhere to settle. I put two shelf rails as through tenons, the middle one not, just felt it added character. Really happy overall, joints are solid an only one is not as tight as I would like, but only I will ever know.
looking very nice Brian, good luck with the house move looking forward to seeing the finished table
Only handles and a bit of final fitting with the drawers (the shop has to be packed up today and bench disassembled) Great learning experience, I used Paul’s method from the tool box drawers for the drawer backs. Overall very pleased and so too the commissioner, my wife. Bonus was she bought me a plow plane to complete the grooves on the drawer bottoms!!
