This guy has come up with a new way to make boxes and drawers. Yeah, it’s a power tool video, but I think with a little tinkering, this idea could be made into a moulding plane blade, possibly.
New tool for boxes and drawers
It looks to me that you would need a separate blade for every thinkness of plywood used and the actual thickness of plywood can vary. A more flexible system is using a drawer lock bit in a router table.
The guy should be congratulated for his ingenuity. I’m not sure about drawers but for boxes his idea looks to handily combine a decent glue area with the neatness of a mitre.
I can’t really see a reason to translate his method to hand tools. If you are looking for a quick way to make a large number of similar boxes, your aims are incompatible with the use of hand tools (or at least not well matched). Perhaps as an academic exercise it would be interesting to see how it could be done, but not as a practical solution to any existing problem.
