Please have a look at this website. It has animations that will walk you through several different geometric constructions that are very handy in design and layout. Remember that a compass and straight edge are far more accurate than trying to transfer several dimensions.

Easy when you know how. Thank Greg… I’ve bookmarked this site. A very useful resource.
Thanks guys. I’ve posted about this book before but here it is again. This book changed the way that I look at everything, especially how I design my woodworking projects.

Greg et al,
Here’s a link for a triangle calculator that I find helpful if you’re trigonometrically challenged like me.

Hi Greg,
Great website !
I have ‘By hand & eye’ on my Christmas list and will use this website and some other guidance next week while I’m on holiday and not able to get into my workshop at all to focus on some design education! so a good addition to my reading.
Nice one!

Has any UK member managed to find a seller for the book recommended by Greg (By Hand & Eye) I’m really struggling to find the book here in the UK. I have tried all the big boys… Amazon, WH Smiths & Waterstones.
