Glue for clamp pads

Thanks Mexiguite for the reply. I do have ( 2 ) of the 24″ US clamps I have had for over 20 years and they are an excellent clamp no doubt. I also have several Bessy’s but I find these just to bulky and heavy for some of the work I do.
I haven’t tried the HF yet and for the price I thought it may be worth the gamble. Paul makes a good point don’t over tightened it is not needed. I may try some carpet tape for the pads as I will modify these clamps per what Paul did.
If they don’t work out I haven’t lost a ton of money but I am at the stage in my life ( a little older than Paul ) I am trying to make every penny count so I can pursue this fine Hobby.

Steve, I tried the carpet tape and the pads slipped right off. Then I had to get the tape off (no easy task) and glue them on. Super glue is the way to go….
