Hi everyone, I have been a member for over a year, but for some reason I never realized there was a forum here. I guess I’ve spent all my time looking over all the posts and videos by Paul and have tried my hand at making several of his project ideas. I have done woodworking for over 50 years…just for the pure love of it, and have never sold anything I’ve made. Just given away for the love of it. I live in Troy Michigan USA. After years of power tool woodworking I have turned my attention in the last 5 years or so to the hand tool methods…and I must say it is not only more dust free, but I find myself thinking (Yes Actually thinking) while using hand tools. I am looking forward to everyones discussions, and I am glad to introduce myself.
Welcome to the forum Gary. There doesn’t seem to be much activity hear anymore but there is a lot of good reading in previous post. There is a lot of experience among the 32K members and I’ve seen a lot of good advice and suggestions. Even Paul gets on this thing now and then and will post replies. Jump in there and post your questions and share your experiences. You may not see a reply for a while, but like this one, somebody will read and reply sooner of later. 🙂
You sound just like me…only I’ve only been doing it for a few years now. I make things because of the joy of making things and I love the wood. I have never sold anything–I just give them away. If people like them/display them, that is all the satisfaction I need. It’s a hobby, not a job. 🙂

I have posted in the past and gotten a lot of activity though. Anyway, it seems to be a great resource and I hope to be more engaged myself. I have a TON of questions! LOL. Enjoy!
