Thank you for the kind words.
Save for the knot tying and kolrosing decoration, all the skills I needed to build this project were learned from Paul here on Masterclasses.
Fantastic job Greg I have followed your blog since you started it, it is always interesting and informative I would urge anybody who has not visited it they should I am sure they would enjoy it
Thanks David. Thank you for the endorsement and continued support too. It means a lot to me.
Just completed a new design for a small cabinet. Its roughly 12″ square and 6″ deep. I used clear pine for most of the construction and 3mm birch ply for the back panel and drawer bottoms. I added quite a bit of kolrosing. Mostly to play around with patterns. I also added knotted pulls as per my usual.

Exquisite work. I had trouble working out the scale until I looked at the rest of the pictures on your blog, that small drawer must be absolutely miniature. The fitting of the various moving parts looks to be perfect and the decoration well executed, though not to my personal taste.
The use of knots for drawer pulls is something I’ve not seen except on your tansus, it’s such a good idea and complements your japanese-inspired designs well.
Matt
Looks fantastic Greg a true work of art I am still not sure which of the two cabinets you have made I prefer, the plain one or the one with the Kolrosing.
I look forward to your next project, don’t lose track of your objectives you set for this year
Thank you, @chemical_cake. I’m glad to hear that you had a hard time working out the scale. That tells me that my proportions must be pretty good. That drawer is small. It’s about 3/4″ tall.
Thanks @daveg. As to the objectives for this year…still researching several options to help bring those to fruition.
