Mark Armstrong7 March 2015 at 12:27 pm #125324hi mark are you still going to be a free member, i’m sure you can still contribute to the site as a non paying member i for one have enjoyed having you as a friend on here, its people like you that keep the forums going, i know we always look for ways to save a few quid but the way i look at it at 35p a day its a worthwhile expense, even if it’s just to be nosey lol.
7 March 2015 at 5:42 pm #125329Don’t get me wrong Eddy I think site great value for money.
very good site for novices and above good building blocks. I think once you get to a certain level instead of following what someone dose you should venture to be a little different. If you look at the few projects I have made I have wondered off of design.
Paul follows more an art and craft style in general which is good for form and function.
I do like things with a bit more flair bit more elaborate if you like very interested things with carving, veneer/ inlay /marquetry/ upholstery ect.
So I wish to start to looking at things with the above.
One of the things I did enjoy to make was the veneered stars pretty simple but look very effective 😉
One day I hope to make something a little Chippendalesque :/7 March 2015 at 11:22 pm #125338You will come crawling back…just kidding. Yes some of the style isn’t mine either but if you are at the point where you can produce what you want, then the masterclasses did their job. Good luck.
Hay Mark,
I’m going to miss ya Mate! I have enjoyed your contribution to the forum. It’s always good to hear from folks across the pond. I’ve come to realize that we aren’t very different in the way we think and our verbal expressions are the same or similar to yours. As for me, I stick around just to see what Paul is going to do next. It’s been great.

@nobby1967 Been here or gone several times myself! But have also been back several times!! lol I do have my own list of projects I want to complete, but the still really enjoy watching the videos and the amount of detail that Paul goes into. Hopefully you will check in from time to time with your projects, because they are always a joy to see. Good luck on your Chipendalesque designs!
