This showed up in my YT feed, and I’m not sorry I watched it. Some very interesting techniques.
– using a card scraper to finish cutting a half-lap dovetail
– pins first, then tails
– “if it’s too tight, don’t force it, just get a bigger hammer”
– don’t worry about measuring; European way
– stacking your pieces and paring/chopping at once
And check out the saw he’s using to clear the pins/tails. The blade is bent to allow him to move through the kerfs.

The fellow there has been cutting them for at least as long as paul so he makes it look easy. You have to dvelope your own way of doing things and learn how to do it with out looking then however you wind up doing it will be easy too
There are a thousand ways to cut dovetails and you just need to pick the one that works.
