Here goes my 1st trunk.
It got a small compartment inside.
The wood is pine from a pallet and “sucupira” from an old cabinet.
Finish is lemmon shellac and wax.
The misalligment come from the inges. It got a twist and there are a small diference betwen them. I made the resses from one and the 2nd was out. 馃檨 When I noticed it was to late 馃檨 馃檨
It was trickie doing the lid. it got a few 1/32 and 1/64 gaps.
And the most part was done just with a wooden 36cm “scrub plane” and scrapers.
And, Yes in the fron there are 3 (pre-bought) Kytens inlayed. This box is for my step-daughter…. lolol
Very attractive trunk, Antonio. I’m sure your step-daughter will love it.
Looks great! She is going to cherish it I’m sure. Fantastic job on the curved lid.
