In this video I construct a storage container to hold some of my favorite snacks. It’s assembled with cut nails (no glue), and I used a ‘white wood’ cutoff from the big box store. I minimized sanding and used only a brown wax for the finish.
Hope you enjoy it.
Nice one, Marty. Now don’t go eating too many of those treats – you’ll rot your teeth out!
Marty, Thanks…very nice fun project with cut nails.
What was the size of your hand plane? Looks bigger than a number 4?
Also, I see you used a drill bit as a center/transfer punch. If you are near a Harbor Freight, they have a nice set of center/transfer punches that mark the center of most size holes. It is under $10 when on sale. That way you don’t risk damage to your drill bits. They are very handy…
Hi Brett.
The blue plane is a Record 4-1/2.
Transfer punches are great, and I have a set (from Harbor Freight). In this case it was just more convenient to use the brad point drill bit because it was at hand and accuracy wasn’t critical.
Thanks for watching the video.
Marty
