i am looking to get a marking knife and was wondering which type is better a single bevel or a two bevel knives like the Stanley.
I was looking at a nice Japanese knife that has a fine tip for marking in small areas
Does anyone have any suggestions
Paul has written on this a few times in his blog, the link below is a good place to start.

I have a few, some are rather pricey and some fairly in-expensive. But I must say my go to and my favorite is the Stanley 10-049 similar to Paul’s which is a dbl edge. It is light not bulky and fits in my hand very well.

I’ve had a cheap knife for a few years and it worked well, but I recently got the Stanley 10-049 and I like it a lot. It seems to work better with a thinner blade and it easily gets into tight places.
