Though I’d share my latest project: We had a new extension built onto our house last year so we decided I should build a new dining table to go in it. My wife wanted a nice big table “that everyone can sit round at Christmas”.
I used a design from FWW that I liked. When my wife saw the size of the final design she requested that I convert the table to one that can be smaller for everyday use. This was my first table top – it was really big and yet despite all the problems I’d faced it had come out dead flat and beautiful; it was heartbreaking to make the required cuts but my Wife is delighted with the table. I, on the other hand only tend to see the things I feel I could do better after lessons learned.
I built it out of White Oak and finished it with a combination of Amber Shellac and Polyurethane (for the top).
Hopefully, there’s some photos below.
Your photos are displaying just fine for me! And that is a beautiful project and very well done too. I particularly like the structure of the bracing assembly between the legs. Your wife has to be very proud of this piece and demanding more.

That is one nice looking table, as mentioned I like the stretcher system you used.
Thanks for sharing !
