Though I’d share my latest project: We had a new extension built onto our house last year so we decided I should build a new dining table to go in it. My wife wanted a nice big table “that everyone can sit round at Christmas”.
I used a design from FWW that I liked. When my wife saw the size of the final design she requested that I convert the table to one that can be smaller for everyday use. This was my first table top – it was really big and yet despite all the problems I’d faced it had come out dead flat and beautiful; it was heartbreaking to make the required cuts but my Wife is delighted with the table. I, on the other hand only tend to see the things I feel I could do better after lessons learned.I built it out of White Oak and finished it with a combination of Amber Shellac and Polyurethane (for the top).
Hopefully, there’s some photos below.
