My set of Stanley Planes, not complete yet, but handles all my planing needs.
From the smallest in the front to the longest in the back: No. 4 (converted to scrub plane), No. 4, No. 4 1/2, No. 5, No. 6, No. 7.
I am still keeping my eye out for a No. 3, No. 5 1/2, and No. 8.
I have found and restored all of these locally in central Florida. All were found at flea markets or antique shops.
The highest paid for any of these was $30, and the lowest was $12.50.
I have been building this set only since joining Masterclass a little over a year ago, starting with the No. 4.
a life time of planes this will make a nice set to leave to someone speacial when you have taught them how to use them and you have made some very nice pieces with them .
