Bottom stretchers done with notch to receive boards for shelf
The top is done
Major accomplishment, trimmed and planed flat.
I finally have the top on the frame. next will be the tool well. I am feeling very proud that I have gotten this far without any major problems.
Well there is still time.
Looks great, are you going to fit some drawers underneath?
Looking good, I’d be proud if I’d made that. I see the plan’s gone out the window though!
If the top is still being made to the plan, I’m interested to know what the intention is behind the cross-grain ends, and how they’ll be attached to the rest of the top?

yes once I get the bench all finished I will be filling it out w drawers underneath.
no the top ended up being 2×4 s lamina te d, 8 total for a 14 width. The bottom has housing dados that fit it to the top bearers. In a day or so I will screw from underneath.
