Hi All
I was hoping for some help in sizing a new blade for a bullnose plane.
Someone in my area is selling a “Miller” brass bullnose plane (solid brass body with wooden wedge). It doesn’t have a blade, just a wooden wedge and the one-piece brass body. and the seller also claims “no adjuster”, although I didn’t think it would have one. The photos don’t show the back of the plane so I cant see if there is a screw or screw hole there.
I cant find any info on Miller bullnose or infill planes online. In fact it looks like a Norris 27 to me.
The price of the plane is low, but it being useful to me relies on me being able to source a blade for it. I am not going to make a blade. If I am correct the Norris 27 came in various widths, so buying it assuming I can fit it with a Rider #92 or #90 blade which are both 3/4″ wide might be pointless. I have asked the seller for the width without response.
Let me know your thoughts, but I am leaning towards not buying it and getting something useful instead.
Thanks
Without a picture I have no clue. With the name Miller attatched it might be a Miller-Falls.
Or not.
I wouldn’t consider buying a plane if the seller doesn’t give information, though.
