I think you should offer it in the roughest form possible, only provide the bf needed for a project plus 10-15%. No material roughed to each individual cut of the project and no thickness planing. Cuts down your time involved per order, and ultimately your total cost and selling price, while leaving enough work to develop skill on the receiving end. What skill is one developing when 70-80% of the work is done. Just make the material more affordable, that’s it. Make yourself a resource, not a crutch.
Frankly I would offer both rough sawn and planed, this way people can make a decision on what they actually want. I wouldn’t get overly excited though just take small steps before you over commit your pounds into this.
The main purpose of doing this now is to pass some of my timber to others in a form they can use. If people find it a useful service and I can source suitable stock, I’m quite happy to continue it after my current stash is depleted.

Sorry for the delay in getting this together. I’ve had an injured knee, a sick child, and work commitments keeping me from getting things sorted out. Also managed to pick up a lot more timber that needed collecting and storing. I think I need to admit to some sort of problem!
With the bank holiday weekend I should be able to get some pieces ready in the next few days.

I know you were joking, but I have timber to make the table – including 24″ wide, live-edge boards for the top!
