On all the projects there is a set of drawings .there are quite a number of dimensions on these drawings and I have a hard time with them.they jumble together.
I took Paul’s advice and drew the plans in a book . This helped me a lot as I drew each feature out and dimensioned it, it cleared up the confusion for me .
It is like making the project in assembly’s you draw each part out and it doesn’t intimidate as does trying to read a prepared drawing .
This was an interesting discovery for me and has made getting started on a project easier.
I usually build from an idea in my head and have always had troubles with plans and schematics .
Good tip, Dean. There is nothing like making your own drawings to really get to know the design or construction. If it’s your design, you can often see any pitfalls or joinery issues. If it’s someone else’s drawing, it can help you understand the overall construct.
