Camphor Laurel yields a beautiful, rich honey coloured timber with a clean, fresh camphor smell that is perfect for furniture, carving and cabinetry. The tree is native to Taiwan, southern Japan, southeast China and Indochina. It’s also known as a great repellent of insects.
The finish is hand rubbed with 100% Tung oil then coated with several thin applications of Shellac giving that beautiful soft lustre.
The movement used is a white Arabic 70mm 2 3/4″ insert that is well known for its reliability. The battery type is a LR1-“N”.
The dimensions of the clock are:
11 1/4″ x 10 5/16″ x 1″
285mm x 262mm x 25mm
Not sure how I missed this one before. Looks spectacular, as usual. Lots of intricate work there Salko. Keep them coming.
Hey thanks Matt right now I’m working on a desk set for stationary stuff which is off the trail to clock work and I’m finishing off another clock which I’ll post some pics of it in the coming week or two
