I picked up a somax saw set plier a month or 2 ago on eBay I’ve ground the pin back like Paul did in his video but it doesn’t move the saw tooth when I squeeze the handle. If anything it just moves the saw plate marginally which springs back the moment you release the plier. What am I doing wrong?
I had a similar issue a little while ago, check the thread from the locking nut doesn’t extend through the face of the numbered barrel. This can happen if the washer between the locking nut and body has gone missing, or has been replaced with one that is not thick enough. If it is, you can either file off the protrusion (take the nut out of the body first) or stick in another washer.
