Very nice, Kevin. Before I saw the third picture I was wondering how the shelf was held up. Looks plenty strong. The whole piece looks good. Is there glass in the door yet?
I have a piece of seeded glass on the way from the shop where I work, so it’s not in yet. That’s the type that has the little air bubbles in it.
Having never really designed a project myself, I used the same technique from the WWMC Tool Chest build, where Paul uses both a wedged tenon and dado for the drawers. The shelf came out really surprisingly solid.
Thank you for the compliment. ?
The back panel is set into a dado on all four sides. I’m not sure if I would do that again though, seems there’s a better way of fixing it on. Maybe next time I’ll run the panel full height, and just set the sides into a groove to hide it. I’m certainly open to suggestions.
Kevin.
