Not sure if this is the correct subforum for this, so please feel free to move if not. Been a member here for a while, but for various reasons my shop time has been very limited. So haven’t had much to show for it. But I finally got around to finished my joiner’s mallet and shooting board. The mallet was my first mortise, and the shooting board was the first time I used a routing plane. Now on to the dovetail boxes.
Yes, the head came from an African mahogany blank that I picked up at a local Woodcraft store. The handle is Honduran mahogany. Probably will make something a little less “beater” the next time I use the wood.
