Pay attention to the orientation of your dovetails when making the trim. Don’t do what I did! 🙂
I had to start the base trim over, but it turned out OK in the end.

Lol. Looking good so far, I had to redo one piece of trim because i cut on the wrong side of the line.

Curiously enough I made the same error last evening, what is diabolic is that I repeated the same error twice… therefore I marked both pieces with the writing “dummy” and left it on the bench for future memory !!!12 May 2015 at 1:18 am #127102SandyParticipant
I’ve done that so many times it’s crazy. I made some mistakes on my lower trim. Measured for tge bevel on different edges. I didn’t see it till I glued it on. Ya can’t see it unless you really look hard. The lessons we learn! 🙂

Chalk one up for experience. Just today I cut a miter in the wrong direction and had to remake the part. It was the first thing I did this morning. I guess I was too eager and not paying enough attention.
