Slingshots

Hi,

I finished these today. Two slingshots made in oak with an oil finish.
There is no joinery in this project but it teaches a lot about shaping.
The tools I used are coping saw, spokeshave and a rasp.

With the first one I made I tried to use the stop cut method
but that led to a broken fork. Best to use the coping saw to cut the shape.
After sawing its a combination of spokeshave and rasp to refine the edges.

If my son is old and wise enough I might make one with him 🙂
