This is a practice run of a larger chest I plan on building in the future. It’s essentially “The English Woodworker”‘s “Clinched Nail Tool Chest” only smaller with brass hardware instead of clinched nails. I found the idea of having the notches instead of hinges for the lid quite interesting, might do that again on another box. This was also the first project where I got to use my new “Poor Man’s Rebate Plane” 🙂 I distressed the sides, but just couldn’t do it to the lid, it looked too nice.
