This is my small display cabinet I’ve been working on this week, its only 24 x 12 inches approx. Its done in pine as a mock up for a future project. It gave me plenty of chances to practice dovetails and a couple of dados, and my first ever half lap dovetails. I was really pleased with them for a first time effort with the first one taking well over an hour 🙂 but after I sort of knew what I was doing the process got faster..
Just the finishing touches to go now like setting the door , adding handles to door and drawer , fitting back and then the finish..Attachments:

It was with some boards I had left, I wanted to use it as a reference for when I copy it with some more decorative timber using two different colour woods like walnut and maple. I have never made or fitted a drawer so was experimenting with that and for this project I cut a rebate on the back just for some ply to fit in but next time would like a solid wood back set in a frame and panel.
