Stanley router plane blades

Hi all,
I have a question about blades for a Stanley hand held router. I’ve noticed that some blades have an angled bottom on the underside and some at a right angle (flat). What is the reason for the difference please?
They all have what’s called a Relief Angle on the underside. Some more than others.
The Spearpoint/smoothing cutter appears flatter, but that relief angle is still there.
