Here is a project requested by my mother as she’s an elderly woman who cannot crouch to get things out of the oven. I thought what a perfect gift for her on her birthday, she had no idea it was going to look like this.

Very nice. Have you described your inlay method in any of your previous posts? Is the design done as marquetry and then inlaid?

Thanks guys my mum was speechless she said my grandad would of been proud, he died in 1948 been a woodie all his life who made time to teach at various schools after a long day in his shop.

For those curious about the inlay well it’s inlayer three times into itself, thats inlay within an inlay with an inlay.

The next one I will do after I make a decent workbench for myself will be the same with the addition of black strips coming down the side covering the end grain of those brackets. The inlay will be the same except that instead of the butterfly I’ll inlay some flowers. But the major improvement will be adding those strips. This is what I call an international stool, it has middle eastern cutural design with a hint of Japanese and the shakers being USA.

Absolutely beautiful work Salko! The inlay is quite nice and I particularly like the arch shape that you chose for the leg cutouts.
