Dear all,
I am attempting to build a shoe cabinet in which the drawers will swivel open (if that’s the right word), as opposed you being normally pulled out..
I need to find some way of pinning the bottom front of the drawer so that it will swivel/pivot. Who has a suggestion for the best way to do this?
I am doubting between a wooden round bar or a metal bar. A wooden bar can be glued in place easily enough, but what is a good thickness, and does it need to be greased in some way?
If metal is better, how should it be attached?
any suggestions are very welcome.
Thanks
John
I’ve looked at this a few times John and I’m still struggling to get my head around as to exactly what you mean. It might help if you could post a pic or two of the actual drawer or a sketch maybe. Do you mean swivel as in from left to right or vice versa or drop down like a writing bureau?
