30 August 2015 at 6:37 pm #129890this thorex is a little heavier than the 712 it’s a 412 but it takes the same size removable heads i’m sure the extra 25g will help when it comes to assembly
31 August 2015 at 1:49 am #129909I was thinking the hammer looked a little beat. Glad the head pieces are replaceable. And I hope you get some users out of the moulding planes. Wish I could find that sort of thing here in California.
31 August 2015 at 11:08 am #129939just to correct myself i said the 412 takes the same size replacment heads as the 712 well not totally true, while they are the same size externaly the thread size on the 412 is bigger so they are not inter-changable, just thought i’d make that clear

Yeah, same in Seattle, Washington. What good stuff is here a lot of people buy and and decorate with. Eddy, those planes go for about $20 (£12-£15 or so) each Where I am from. And half of the time that doesn’t include the irons.
All you UK folks are lucky to have such a wealth of used tools at your disposal. Occasionally I find a good deal, but not as often as I see from Paul’s blog or the post here.
