Welcome! / Forums / Project Series / Carrying Tote / tote made from pine, spruce and doug fir.
I have just completed my first tool tote.
it’s made from wood I found in a skip, the sides are bookmatched spruce from a thicker piece of wood that was originally an old mantlepiece from the 1930s, the handle is made from douglas fir and the wedges are hard maple.
I took inspiration from Greg Merritt’s version and decided to round over the edges, the side pieces are laminated Scandinavian redwood pine,
because of the laminations it took me quite a while but was worth it in the end, I wanted to create something a bit more unique than just using solid pieces,
let me know what you think, would appreciate any feedback,
regards, Ben.
